Usage
We originally selected these pliers for their brilliant split ring tool that makes opening heavy-duty split rings often found on pike lures very easy. Simply push the pointed end of the jaws into the split ring and push down to open up the coils and enable hooks and lures to be easily removed.
The tool can also be used to unhook fish, thanks to the strong jaws. We find the 8″ size ideal for zander and small pike, but always carry Long Nosed Pliers when fishing for pike as the hooks may require a longer tool to remove them.
Also includes line / wire cutters (not suitable for braid) and a simple crimp tool to enable you to make and modify traces whilst on the go.
